I'm Chaitanya Jondhale, certified SAP ABAP consultant. While learning SAP ABAP the biggest hurdle that I faced was to get access to a SAP NETWAEVER system to practise. From all the videos that I watched on installing SAP NETWAEVER on a laptop I thought that SAP NETWAEVER would require a windows server. Though I installed a trail Windows Server 2008 I was limited by the trial period & I had to take the pain of installing Windows Server & SAP NETWAEVER again on the laptop. To overcome the trail period limitation & installed SAP NETWAEVER on Windows 7 professional edition and later on Windows 10 Pro edition on a laptop with i5 processor supported by 4 GB RAM and 500GB HDD.
Before you install SAP NETWAEVER on a laptop you need to have the right version of Java, below is the screen shot of the version installed on my system. P.S: I did not use a virtual machine, installed SAP NETWAEVER straight on my system.
